CerMark Ultra

Resistant To Strong Acids, Bases, Organic Solvents, And Extreme Heat Or Cold.

Good Salt Spray Resistance, Scratch Resistance, And Weathering Resistance Based On QUV Testing.

Product Notes

The New formula is based on the best of LMM14, LMC6044p and LMM6000 to have a multipurpose markable material . It works on metals, ceramics, stone, brick , glass, Anodized Aluminum and more.

Good For

Stainless steel, brass, aluminum, titanium, tin, copper, nickel, and all-metal types as well as glass, ceramic, stone, slate, and brick

The paste must to be dilute with denatured alcohol: 50/50

LMM6000

Ethanol-based product. For hard Metals

Marks on metal with a 35 watt or stronger CO2 laser, with fiber lasers that can be set at 200 kHz or higher.

Product Notes

NOT recommended for soft metals such as brass, copper, pewter, and aluminum, It works well in some grades of Aluminum.

Drying time between 3-and 5 minutes.

Good For

Stainless steel, mild steel, galvanized steel, brass, aluminum, copper, chrome plating, nickel plating, gold plating, silver plating, titanium, pewter,

LMM14

Water-based product, easy to clean up, Only For soft Metals

Dries quickly

Product Notes

Is more suitable for softer metals.

Is advisable to etch within 3 minutes after application

Good For

Stainless steel, mild steel, galvanized steel, brass, aluminum, copper, chrome plating, nickel plating, gold plating, silver plating, titanium, pewter

LMM6018

Tape.

Black on metals & ceramics

Easy to apply and remove

Good results on natural or colored anodized aluminum

No drying is required

Product Notes

Black marks for most harder metal types such as stainless steel, not recommended for softer metals

Good For

Stainless steel, anodized aluminum , stainless steel, mild steel, galvanized steel, brass, aluminum, chrome-plated, nickel-plated, gold plated, titanium, pewter

LMM6151 Cooper

Liquid Form

Application only with airbrush, no hand application.

Dries in 3-4 minutes

Apply a second coating and laser to create a bolder bright mark.

Low Speed application a thicker grade stainless is optimum

Will not work well with fiber lasers.

Product Notes

Not dilution needed

Surface needs to be very clean with Ethanol, and must not have lacquer coating. Once applied to the substrate and dry, LMM-6151 will be a light brown powdery coating.

Good For

304 Stainless Steel (Thick Gage)

316 Stainless Steel (Thick Gage)

Has worked On Blued Gun Steel, on polished Anodized, Not on bare aluminum. Not for 430 Stainless Steel (Surgical SS)

LMM6150

Pearl White for Metal

Creates a white pearl mark on metals

cermark

Product notes

Liquid form

For Stainless steel

Works very similar to LMM6151

Good For

304 SS, 316 SS, Blued Gun Steel,

Polished Anodized Aluminum

Not on bare aluminum

Not on 430 Stainless Steel

Also works on other bare metals which not have been evaluated

LMM6904

Aluminum Anodized

Water based paste

Product Notes

Can be applied using a spray gun, airbrush or aerosol. It must be applied with an even coat to ensure a consistent mark and color

Good For

Anodized Aluminum

LMM6060

Black Laser marking

Paste

Product Notes

Not produced again

Good For

Stainless Steel, Chrome, And Tin

LMC6098

Water Based Coating

For White marks

Liquid Form

Product Notes

Dries quickly as a white powder-like coat

Is extremely easy to wash after laser marking.

Good For

Ceramic, Tile, Plates, Coffee Mugs, Sanitary Ware, Porcelains, Glasses and including Automotive Glass

LMC6044

Black on Glass and Ceramics

Dries quickly

Water based coating

Product Notes

Must to be marked shortly after application

Good For

All type of glasses and Ceramics

Industrial applications such as vehicle windshields, laboratory instruments, plate glass, and glass ampoules.

For decorative work on bottles, wine glasses, and awards. Additionally, it has found uses on ceramic products such as porcelain sanitary ware, electronic substrates, and for decorating wall and floor tiles.

Cermark products coverage

Main CerMark Products Coverage

NOTE: The LMM-6018 Tape will only mark anodized aluminum, stainless and titanium. works fine in some other materials but tested is necessary

The LMM14 and LMM6000 are in paste form and once applied either by airbrush or brush require marking to be done soon after application. The spray product can cause the application of the product to vary in coating thickness and this will result in uneven marking quality. The adhesive tape is more homogeneous and even over the entire surface.

The advantage of CO2 laser marking is that the mark is made on the surface of the substrate, vaporizing the material and without causing wear or abrasion. A notch is formed, almost always in the shape of a cone due to the shape of the beam. Multiple passes can create a deep engraving, eliminating the possibility of the mark wearing off in harsh environmental conditions.

It should also be noted that coated metals such as anodized aluminum or painted bronze do not require pretreatment.

Fiber engraving is ideal for marking aluminum, bronze, nickel-plated metals, stainless steel, and others, as well as certain plastics such as ABS, PEEK, and polycarbonates. It is also possible to create marks on organic materials such as wood, clear glass, and leather, but with a fiber system, it is not ideal to do so.

The speed of engraving or marking will depend on the thermal absorption of each product, LMM14 has a higher thermal absorption. CO2, fiber, and Yag lasers can be used at higher speeds. The adhesive tape requires a lower speed setting than all others.

Because different types of lasers react differently with metals, certain considerations must be taken into account. It takes longer to mark metals with a CO2 laser system, for example, because it is necessary to pre-coat or pre-treat the metal with a marking agent. In addition, the laser must be used on a low-speed, high-power setting so that the marking agent can properly adhere to the metal. Occasionally, users find that they can erase the marking after the process, indicating that it is necessary to repeat the marking by adjusting the system to a lower speed and higher power setting.

By adjusting the laser speed, power, frequency and focus, it is possible to create markings on stainless steel with various methods, such as tempering, engraving and polishing. With anodized aluminum, fiber laser marking usually produces much more brightness than with a CO2 laser. However, if you engrave exposed aluminum, you get less contrast, because the fiber laser generates shades of gray instead of a black color. Still, deep engraving combined with oxidizers or color fillers can be used to produce a black engraving on aluminum.

In all the cases the spray can only be transported by ground
